I believe art can be fun and funny and bright and bold. It should be an artifact–something that says, “I’m alive, I am playing with paint. Here’s your proof.”

I want my work to make people smile. This is the closest I can come to an “artist statement.” Maybe Mose T. said it best, “I’m not interested in art. I just want to paint my pictures.”
